Since its establishment in 1939, Waipa Mill has a proud history of being one of Rotorua’s largest employers. Once state-owned and at one stage having its own village, the Waipa Mill still retains a close-knit community spirit within its 250 full time employees and contractors.

With the mill situated within the Whakarewarewa forest, Red Stag Timber employees can readily take advantage of the many mountain bike and running tracks that are available. Because the Mill is also just a few kilometres from Rotorua’s CBD, many employees enjoy the convenience of a short commute to work.
